Lisette Austin is a skilled freelance writer and editor who regularly writes for print and online publications, health care associations and non profit organizations. Her specialties include multiracial identity and families, foster care, minority health disparities, public health research, parenting and travel (see portfolio).

Lisette regularly refines grant proposals, annual reports to funding agencies, conference reports and academic manuscripts. Her editing clients include Seattle Children’s Hospital, Alere Wellbeing, National CASA Association and the University of Washington. She also develops and edits content for academic and small business websites.

Along with freelancing, Lisette works part-time as a research coordinator at the University of Washington. She is also the driving force behind Austin Creative, Inc. which develops WordPress websites for small business. She lives in the Seattle area with her husband and son, studying Flamenco dance and traveling internationally whenever possible.
